Our Main Speaker for the day…Pastor and Professor Mark Carlton
Mark Carlton was born in 1952 in South-Central Kansas. His father was a pastor in a little town in Hazelton. When he was two years old his father accepted a call to serve at a First Baptist Church in Elkhart, Kansas. After serving the church in Elkhart for 9 1/2 years the family moved to Wichita where is father served as pastor of the Gideon Baptist Church for 5 1/2 years. Just before Mark’s senior year in high school, the family moved to Littleton, Colorado where Mark graduated from High School and attended College at Western Bible Institute (now Colorado Christian University)/
While attending Bible College, Mark met and married another preacher’s kid, Pam Matzke. After graduating from College, Mark and Pam entered the ministry. Mark and Pam have been serving the Lord in Pastoral Ministry for over 40 years. During this time they have served churches in Wellington and Sheridan, Colorado; Ogallala, Nebraska, and Colby, Kansas. Recently Mark retired for the lead Pastor role at the Berean Bible Fellowship, but he continues to serve BBF as a mentor and teacher. Mark is currently a part-time Professor in the Humanities Department at Colby Community College. He is also offering seminars on the topics of worldview and apologetics to the Body of Christ at large.
Mark is an encouraging Pastor, and full of wisdom! Come to the Christian Leaders Conference and learn how to “Build Courage with a Fearless Faith” from him! He will share encouraging messages of how you can be a witness for Christ in a world full of doubt and desperation!
