Twenty-three employees of Sheridan County Health Complex, Hoxie, gathered at The Shepherd’s Staff Christian Conference and Retreat Center in Rexford for a day-long continuing education retreat on Thursday, Oct. 25, 2007. Besides gaining new knowledge in the field of healthcare, the group enjoyed a continental breakfast, a taco bar buffet noon meal, and mid-afternoon snack.. The group met in the Main Center's dining room, which is also known as the Seas of Galilee dining room for its hand-painted mural which fills the east wall.
The Main Center’s upper level is complete with a fully staffed kitchen, dining room which seats 100 for banquets and up to 150 in theater style seating. There is also a breakfast room which accommodates 15 to 20; as well as separate male and female dorms and bathrooms with showers. The Main Center’s upper and lower levels are complete with electronic equipment such as a sound system, TV/DVD, overhead projector and screens, music stands, piano, whiteboard and blackboards. The lower level of the Main Center are a family room, game room, conference room and Holmberg Memorial Chapel which seats 30 plus people and includes an antique pump organ.
